GB YG6 Tungsten Carbide (K20)

GB YG6 (GB/T 30892, ISO K20) — 6 % Co coarse-grain tungsten carbide, HRA 91–92. Compare with YG10 and YG15 for granulator and wear parts.

GB YG6 (GB/T 30892, ISO K20) — 6 % Co coarse-grain tungsten carbide, HRA 91–92. Compare with YG10 and YG15 for granulator and wear parts.

GB YG6 (China GB/T 30892 standard) is the standard 6 % Co coarse-grain tungsten carbide — ISO K20 classification. HRA 91.0–92.0 (≈ HRC 78–80). It is the general-purpose coarse-grain YG grade, with lower wear resistance but higher impact resistance than the fine-grain YG6X. Used for non-precision wear parts, granulator bed knives (light duty) and general mechanical wear parts.

Standard composition: WC 94 %, Co 6 %, no grain-growth inhibitors, WC grain 1.5–2.5 µm

Hardness: HRA 91.0–92.0 (≈ HRC 78–80)

Heat treatment: Sintered at 1,400–1,480 °C, no further heat treatment

Properties: Standard general-purpose coarse-grain YG6. Lower cost than YG6X. Lower wear resistance but higher impact resistance.

Applications: Non-precision wear parts, granulator bed knives (light duty), general mechanical wear parts.

Cross-reference: ≈ ISO K20, no precise Western equivalent.
